First Glance

A touch more bestial than the average Hrothgar, she has digitigrade feet and claws instead of nails.
Curiously, she has no Bozjan accent. Instead, she sounds like she's from northern Othard.
For the most part, she's quiet and polite—all smiles as she talks about tian and living in harmony. However, the pair of knives she keeps on her at all times aren't just for show.

Story

We are but a humble village, not found on any map, nor would anyone ever give you directions to reach us. That’s how we like it—our privacy, our safety.Those desperate, in need of refuge, will be guided to us by tian. That is how my parents came to this place. They fled from the three-eyed devils that had begun to infest their home. They were offered the same choice the elders had given many before them: adapt to our ways and earn your keep. In return, you will be safe. In return, you will be taught Elder Ru’s knowledge, written many years ago.As many before them had, my parents accepted the gracious offer.I have only ever known my village, but it is time that I learn of the lands around us. All youths make this pilgrimage—to venture both west and south. We see how the world is outside our comfortable life, learn what our part is, where we are meant to be.Some return, bringing with them a partner most dear. Others are guided away by tian, and we do not see them again.In truth, I should have made my journey the moment I came of age, but I watched as more and more of my parents’ fur turned gray. I delayed, feeling the need to look after them, as they have always looked after me. Father finally insisted that it is my time—that I must follow our traditions, and that includes my pilgrimage.What I will see, what I will learn—I do not know. I only hope that my parents are still there for me to tell the tale of my journey once I return.

  • Hrothgar women are a rare sight—rarer still outside of Bozja or Tural. That fact alone might be reason enough to approach.
